This standard specifies the general requirements on cleaner production by ferroalloy enterprises. This standard classifies the cleaner production indexes of ferroalloy enterprises into four categories, which are requirements on production process and equipment, resource and energy utilization indexes, waste recycling indexes and environment management requirements. This standard is applicable to the cleaner production examination, judgment of cleaner production potential and opportunity, assessment of cleaner production performance, announcement system of clean production performance in six ferroalloy enterprises which respectively produce ferrosilicon, high carbon ferromanganese, manganese-silicon, medium-low carbon ferromanganese, high carbon ferrochrome and medium-low-micro carbon ferrochrome by electric process, and also applicable to such environmental management systems as environmental impact assessment and pollution discharge permit.
