本标准适用于固体废物及其浸出液中α-六六六、六氯苯、β-六六六、γ-六六六、δ-六六六、七氯、艾氏剂、环氧七氯B、α-氯丹、硫丹I、γ-氯丹、狄氏剂、p,p-滴滴伊、异狄氏剂、硫丹II、p,p-滴滴滴、o,p’-滴滴滴、异狄氏剂醛、硫丹硫酸酯、p,p-滴滴涕、异狄氏剂酮、甲氧滴滴涕、灭蚊灵等23种有机氯农药的测定。其他有机氯农药若通过验证，也可采用本标准测定。
