The standard is applicable to the stator coil inter-turn insulation voltage withstanding test for AC generator whose rated voltage is form 3 kV to 13.8 kV. 1. Inspection Test before Coil Inserting The test is adopted to control inter-turn insulation quality of single coil. After coil manufacturing, the coils shall be treated with inter-turn voltage withstanding test to ensure the inter-turn insulation quality before inserting coil. Testing voltage and method shall be specified in accordance with the enterprise standard. 2. Inter-turn Insulation Withstanding Impulse Voltage Level Test The test is adopted to examine the stability of inter-turn insulation withstanding impulse voltage level.
