本标准规定了防爆罗茨鼓风机（包括单级、双级、成套的正压和负压防爆罗茨鼓风机）的术语和定义、要求、试验方法、检验规则、标志、包装与保管和保证期。
本标准适用于输送可燃性气体、助燃性气体或与空气形成的在爆炸极限区域外的易燃、易爆气体混合物的防爆型罗茨鼓风机。
本标准不适用于煤矿井下环境。
