1 Scope
This standard specifies requirements, inspection, marking, packaging and storage of flexible graphite ring (hereinafter referred to as "the ring").
This standard applies to flexible graphite ring.

3 Requirements
3.1 Materials
The sulfur content, chlorine content and ash content of flexible graphite ring shall meet the requirements of JB/T 7758.2 and the metal materials shall comply with relevant standards unless otherwise specified by the mutual agreement if the users have special requirements for the materials.
3.2 Appearance
3.2.1 The ring surface shall be free of defects like obvious scratch and flash.
3.2.2 The ring may be cut either into single opening or double opening by 45° (in some cases, 60°) as needed by installation, as shown in Figure 1 and Figure 2. The cuts shall be flat and smooth without loose circle.
