1 Scope This standard specifies surface defect types and features of valve, flange, pipe fittings and other pressed cast steel. This standard is applicable to visual inspection and acceptance for surface quality of valve, flange, pipe fittings and other pressed cast steel. 2 Evaluation of Surface Quality After cast steel cleaning and repairing and before painting, appearance inspection shall be carried out. Comparison and evaluation shall be carried out for defects on the surface picture according to pictures specified in this standard (see Chapter 4).
