Tool for whitworth threads - Part 1: Taps
1 Scope
This part of JB/T 8825 specifies the type and dimension, designation example, thread tolerance and technical specification of whitworth thread taps (hereinafter referred to as taps).
This part is applicable to manufacturing taps with thread code of 1/8~4 whitworth threads.

3 Type and dimension
3.1 The type of taps with coarse shank and neck is as shown in Figure 1 and their dimensions are given in Tables 1 and 2.
3.2 The type of taps with fine shank is as shown in Figure 2 and their dimensions are given in Tables 3 and 4.
