1 General Provisions
1.0.1 This Specification is prepared with a view to normalizing the technical requirements of ceramic sheet board in the building engineering application, ensuring the engineering quality to reach the objective of economy and rationality, safety and usability.
1.0.2 This Specification is applicable to the ceramic sheet board applied in the following engineering of civil buildings:
1 Indoor floor and wall surfaces;
2 Outdoor wall surface with non-seismic design and cementing height not greater than 24m;
3 Outdoor wall surface with seismic precautionary intensity 6, 7, 8, and cementing height not greater than 24m;
4 Ceramic sheet board curtain wall engineering with non-seismic design and seismic precautionary intensity 6, 7, 8.
1.0.3 Ceramic sheet board application shall not only comply with this Specification but also comply with those in the current relevant ones of the nation.
2 Terms and Symbols
2.1 Terms
2.1.1 Building ceramic sheet board
The board-shape ceramics which made of clay and other inorganic nonmetallic materials, formed and hard fired until the thickness is not greater than 6mm, the area is not less than 1.62m2 and the length at the minimum single side is not less than 900mm.
2.1.2 Thin set method
A construction method by which the adhesive is plastered on the constructed base with the notch trowel firstly, then the ceramic sheet board is pressed on the adhesive by kneading to form a paving ceramic sheet board having a 3mm~6mm thick bonding layer.
2.1.3 Two-component cement based adhesive
The adhesive materials which is made of cement, fine aggregate and organic additive and formed by mixing with the emulsion on site when it is used for sticking and laying the ceramic sheet board.
2.1.4 Grout
The sealed materials which is made of cement, fine aggregate and organic additive and formed by mixing with the liquid additive or water on site when it is used for filling the joint between ceramic sheet boards.
2.1.5 Notch trowel
The construction tool adopted in the thin set method which has U-shaped or V-shaped notches of different sizes.
2.1.6 Base
The surface layer directly bearing ceramic sheet board facing works construction.
2.1.7 Ceramic sheet board curtain wall
The building curtain wall whose drawing board is made of the ceramic sheet board.
2.1.8 Frame supported ceramic sheet board curtain wall
The ceramic sheet board curtain wall whose ceramic sheet board is supported by the metal frame surrounding its face plate.
