1 Scope This Regulation applies to elastic element pressure gauges, pressure-vacuum gauges and vacuum gauges for general use (hereinafter referred to as pressure gauge) in their initial verification, subsequent verification and in-service inspection. 2 Normative References The following documents are referenced in this Regulation: JJF 1008-2008 Pressure Metrological Terms and Their Definitions GB/T 1226-2010 General Pressure Gauge For dated reference, just dated edition applies to this document. For undated references, the latest edition (including any amendments) applies. 3 Terms and Metrological Unit 3.1 Terms 3.1.1 elastic element pressure gauge a pressure measurement meter using elastic sensor as pressure element. [JJF 1008-2008, 4.1] 3.1.2 set point deviation the difference between set value and measured value when output variable is output as required. [JJF 1008-2008, 7.10] 3.1.3 switching value input value measured when the output is switched from one state to another one during upstroke (downstroke) of the stepping control instrument. [JJF 1008-2008, 7.11] 3.1.4 differential gap the switching value gap of up and down stroke at the same set point. [JJF 1008-2008, 7.12] 3.2 Metrological Unit legal metrological unit for pressure gauge is Pa or kPa, MPa, etc. 4 General Pressure gauge is mainly used for liquid, gas and steam pressure measurement. Working principle of pressure gauge is to press an elastic sensor (such as bourdon tube) to produce elastic deformation, with its deformation amount being a linear relation with the pressure applied, under the amplification of transmission mechanism, the pressure measured will be displayed on the index plate. Pressure gauge may be classified into bourdon tube type, capsule type, diaphragm type and bellow type based on the elastic sensors. 5 Metrological Performance Requirements 5.1 Accuracy Class and Maximum Allowable Error Accuracy class of pressure gauge and maximum allowable error shall meet the requirements specified in Table 1.
