1.0.1 This Guideline is formulated with a view to cooperate with the implementation of "Technical Specifications for Construction of Highway Tunnel" (JTG F60-2009), refine the technical requirements for the construction of mountain highway tunnel (hereinafter collectively referred to as "highway tunnel") engineering, ensure the engineering quality, so that the tunnel construction is in line with requirements of advanced technology, security and environmental protection and economic feasibility.
1.0.2 This Guideline is applicable to newly build and reconstruct the highway tunnels at all levels based on drilling and blasting excavation; highway tunnels of other forms may refer to this.
1.0.3 Construction of highway tunnel shall be in accordance with the approved design documents. The construction preparation and construction processes shall all strengthen the geological review work and implement dynamic management on the basis of geological prediction, forecasting and monitoring measurement information.
1.0.4 The construction of highway tunnels shall actively and carefully promote the application of new technologies, new processes, new materials and new facilities, improve management level and technical level, save energy, reduce material consumption and improve overall economic efficiency.
1.0.5 During the construction process of highway tunnel, it shall have a comprehensive collection of raw data and information; construction records shall be done well and tunnel construction technology summary shall be prepared. When the tunnels are submitted and completed, submission and completion documents shall be handed over timely.
