1 Scope
This document specifies the system boundary and quantification scope, quantification methods, data collection and evaluation indicators for the quantification of life-cycle carbon dioxide emissions of photovoltaic power projects.
This document is applicable to the quantification and evaluation of life-cycle carbon emissions of centralized photovoltaic power projects. Distributed photovoltaic power projects may refer to this document.

4 General principles
4.1 Purpose of evaluation
To quantify the carbon emissions of photovoltaic power projects from a life-cycle perspective, identify key carbon emission sources or stages, achieve refined carbon emission management throughout the project life cycle, provide scientific decision-making support for project greenhouse gas emission environmental impact assessment, low-carbon supply chain management, and implementation of low-carbon technologies during the project operation phase, and promote collaborative carbon reduction across the industry chain.
4.2 Basic principles
This document follows the basic requirements of GB/T 24040 and GB/T 24044 for life-cycle assessment methodology and follows the provisions of ISO 14067:2018 for carbon footprint assessment. At the same time, if relevant product category rules for product carbon footprint exist, the requirements of ISO/TS 14027:2017 regarding product category rules shall be followed.
4.3 Basic process
The basic process includes: determination of system boundary and quantification scope, data inventory collection, and carbon emission quantification and evaluation.

4 General principles
4.1 Purpose of evaluation
To quantify the carbon emissions of photovoltaic power projects from a life-cycle perspective, identify key carbon emission sources or stages, achieve refined carbon emission management throughout the project life cycle, provide scientific decision-making support for project greenhouse gas emission environmental impact assessment, low-carbon supply chain management, and implementation of low-carbon technologies during the project operation phase, and promote collaborative carbon reduction across the industry chain.
