1 Scope This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and marking, packaging, transportation and storage of lead-acid batteries for electric vehicles (hereinafter referred to as “batteries”). This standard is applicable to the lead-acid batteries for electric vehicles. 2 Normative references The following normative documents contain provisions which, through reference in this text, constitute provisions of this standard. For dated references, subsequent amendments (excluding corrections), or revisions, of any of these publications do not apply to this standard. However parties to agreements based on this standard are encouraged to investigate the possibility of applying the most recent editions of the normative documents indicated below. For undated references, the latest edition applies. GB/T 2900.11 Electrotechnical terminology - Primary and secondary cells and batteries [eqv IEC 60050 (482):2003] 3 Terms, definitions and symbols 3.1 Terms and definitions For the purposes of this standard, the terms and definitions given in GB/T 2900.11 and the following apply. sweep cycle Sweeping back and forth once within the specified frequency range, for example, 10Hz~55Hz~10Hz 3.2 Symbols C3——the 3h rated capacity, A?h; I3——the 3h discharging current, which is equal to C3/3, A. 4 Classification Lead-acid batteries for electric vehicles are classified into maintenance-free batteries and sealed valve regulated batteries. 5 Requirements 5.1 Appearance When the battery is inspected according to 6.2, the shell shall be free of any deformation and crack, the surface shall be dry and free of acid liquor, and the mark shall be clear and correct. 5.2 Polarity When the battery is inspected according to 6.3, the battery polarity shall be consistent with the marked polarity symbol. 5.3 Overall dimensions and mass Refer to the technical description provided by the enterprise for the overall dimensions and mass of the battery. 5.4 Terminals The location of the terminals and the specific requirements for the appearance and structure of the terminals are determined by the user and the manufacturer through negotiation.
