1 Subject and Application Scope This Standard specifies safety requirements, sampling plan, inspection item, inspection method and judgement criteria for import and export household refrigerators and food freezers. This standard is applicable to safety requirement inspection on import and export household refrigerators and food freezers of motor-driven compression type with Class I shock protection, with a rated single-phase AC power voltage of not greater than 250V, a rated frequency of 50Hz or 60Hz and a volume of not larger than 500L. Where no or ambiguous requirement is specified in the contract, this Standard shall apply. If other safety standards are adopted, such standards and their text shall be specified and provided in the contract. Household refrigerators and food freezers may be subject to technical performance inspection upon they pass the inspection specified in this standard. 2 Normative References The following standards contain provisions which, through reference in this text, constitute provisions of this standard.
