This standard specifies the terminologies and definitions, technical requirements, inspection methods, inspection rules, and marking, packaging, transportation and storage of driving gearbox (hereinafter referred to as "driving gearbox" or "gearbox ") used on EMU. This standard is applicable to driving gearbox used on EMU with speed grade of 200km/h and above, including the driving gearboxes of spur gears, helical gears, double helical gears and combinations thereof single-grade or multi-grade involute cylindrical gear or the bevel gear transfer gearbox. Driving gearbox with other speed grades may also refer to the provisions of this standard.
