本标准规定了用2-（对磺苯偶氮）-1,8-二羟基-3,6-萘二磺酸锆分光光度法测定氟化物含量的方法。
本标准适用于饮用水中0.28 mg/L~1.6 mg/L氟化物（以F- 计）的测定。
含氟化物（以F-计）1.0 mg/L的水样中，引起0.1mg/L误差的干扰离子浓度值如下： Al3+（0.1 mg/L），Cl-（7000 mg/L），NaPO3（1.0 mg/L），SO42- （200 mg/L），PO43-（16 mg/L），Fe（10 mg/L），碱度（以CaCO3计，5000 mg/L）。碱度的干扰可用盐酸或硝酸去除，余氯干扰可用硫代乙酰胺去除，色度、浑浊较高或干扰离子较多的水样应经蒸馏法预处理。
