Test method of mobile station (including non UIM mobile station )for 800MHz/2GHz cdma2000 digital cellular mobile telecomunication network Part 21:protocol conformance test -Essential signalling
1 Scope
This part specifies the basic signaling conformance test methods for mobile stations in the 800MHz/2GHz CDMA2000 digital cellular mobile communication network, including air interface test, basic call flow test, idle handoff test, handoff test, registration test, authentication test, service redirection testing, supplementary service test, forward compatibility test, and concurrent service test.
This standard is applicable to 800MHz/2GHz 2GHzCDMA2000 mobile communication terminals supporting CSIM/RUIM card (UIM Mobile Station) and not supporting CSIM/RUIM card (Non UIM Mobile Station) (hereinafter referred to “mobile terminal”). The CSIM/RUIM card includes those supporting UIMID and EUIMID.

Instrument description: the main test instruments are CDMA air interface simulator (system simulator), fading simulator and interference noise generator. The CDMA air interface simulator (system simulator) mainly simulates the 800MHz/2GHz CDMA2000 lx network environment, including the entire switching and base station equipment. It simulates at least two base stations, one of which has two sectors; and it communicates with the MS under test as well as measures, records and analyzes signaling protocol of the MS. The fading simulator simulators various multi-path fading modes of RF channel. Interference noise generator produces interference and noise on RF channel.
Below are examples of parameters to be modified with respect to the mobile device under test:
As for non-UIM mobile device under test, corresponding parameters shall be modified with corresponding monitoring tools/programming tools according to specific requirements on the test items.
As for UIM mobile device under test, parameters may be modified with monitoring tools or by replacing the UIM card as required.
Unless otherwise specified, the test tolerance (including test equipment tolerance) is ±10%; Ior/Ioc is within ±0.1 dB of the specified value, and Ioc is within ±5 dB of the specified value.
