Codeofchina.com is in charge of this English translation. In case of any doubt about the English translation, the Chinese original shall be considered authoritative. This standard replaces YD/T 1591-2006 Technical Requirements and Test Method of Charger and Interface for Mobile Telecommunication Terminal Equipment. The following main changes have been made with respect to YD/T 1591-2006: ——the original Chinese expression of the mobile telecommunication terminal equipment is modified, “charger” is changed to “power adapter”, and “interface” is changed to “charging/data port”; ——type of charging/data port of mobile telecommunication terminal equipment is determined; ——dimension and requirements of charging/data port of mobile telecommunication terminal equipment are added; ——requirements and test method for the mobile telecommunication terminal equipment with OTG function are added; ——requirements and test method for power adapter housing and cable materials are added; ——requirements and test method for electrical properties of charging/data port of mobile telecommunication terminal equipment are modified; ——output current of the power adapter is modified; ——test methods for input voltage adaptability, output voltage and output current are modified; ——requirements and test method for output ripple, short-circuit current, no-load energy consumption, reverse current, average power, contact current, etc. are modified; ——the characteristic graph of the output voltage and the output current is modified to the adaptability scheme of the output voltage and output current; ——identification conforming to this standard is defined; ——requirements and test method for low-level contact resistance and contact capacitance are deleted. Annex A of this standard is normative. This standard was proposed by and is under the jurisdiction of China Communications Standards Association.   Introduction This standard is formulated with a view to, on the premise of ensuring the safety and usability of products, enabling different types of mobile communication terminals to share the same specification of power adapter by specifying a unified port mode and technical requirements. This standard defines the charging connection in a three-stage mode, i.e., AC-DC power adapter, cable and terminal. Therefore, the application scope of this standard can be further expanded. For example, this standard can also be referenced for charging or power supply of portable or household small electronic equipment, so as to further reduce electronic waste, protect the environment, save resources and reduce the use cost. Technical requirements and test method for power adapter and charging/data port of mobile telecommunication terminal equipment 1 Scope This standard specifies the technical requirements and testing method for charging/data ports, AC-DC power adapters and cables of mobile communication terminal equipment (hereinafter referred to as "terminals"), including the physical characteristics, electrical characteristics, safety characteristics, electromagnetic compatibility, environmental adaptability and identification involved. This standard is applicable to terminals, AC-DC power adapters and their connecting cables using wired power supply, but not applicable to mobile terminals requiring special power supply and application, such as special mobile devices only used in enterprises and industries. This standard can also be referenced for the power supply or charging of other portable or household small electronic equipment. 2 Normative references The following documents contain provisions which, through reference in this text, constitute provisions of this standard. For dated references, subsequent amendments (excluding corrections), or revisions, of any of these publications do not apply to this standard. However parties to agreements based on this standard are encouraged to investigate the possibility of applying the most recent editions of the normative documents indicated below. For undated references, the latest edition applies.
