本标准规定了变形铝合金铸锭超声波检测方法概述及检测人员、检测环境、检测设备与材料、试样、检测技术与参数设定、验收标准、检测程序、不连续性的评定、检测标识、检测记录、检测报告等要求和应用说明内容。
本标准适用于超声波脉冲反射式水浸法或接触法检测变形铝合金铸锭产品内部不连续性，适用的铸锭尺寸规格如下：
--厚度不大于620mm的铝合金扁铸锭；
--直径不大于620mm的铝合金
