This document is applicable to battery grade lithium carbonate produced by various methods. 2 Normative references The following documents contain provisions which, through reference in this text, constitute provisions of this document. GB/T 191 Packaging - Pictorial marking for handling of goods GB/T 6284 Chemical products for industrial use - General method for determination of water content - The loss of mass on drying method GB/T 6678-2003 General principles for sampling chemical products GB/T 11064 (all parts) Methods for chemical analysis of lithium carbonate, lithium hydroxide monohydrate and lithium chloride GB/T 19077 Particle size analysis - Laser diffraction methods 3 Terms and definitions For the purposes of this document, the following terms and definitions apply. 3.1 magnetic impurity substances that can be directly or indirectly adsorbed by ferromagnets Note: It mainly refers to magnetic substances in transition elements such as iron, chromium, nickel, zinc and their alloys. 4 Classification The products are divided into three designations according to chemical composition: Li2CO3-D1, Li2CO3-D2 and Li2CO3-D3. 5 Technical requirements 5.1 Chemical composition The chemical composition of the products shall meet the requirements of Table 1. In case of any special requirement, it shall be determined through negotiation between the supplier and the purchaser.
