1 Scope
This document specifies the terms and definitions, structural types, materials, requirements, test methods, instructions and markings for rasps among cutting tools for electric osseous tissue surgical equipment.
This document is applicable to rasps (hereinafter referred to as products) that are powered by electric osseous tissue surgical equipment to perform reciprocating motion for rasping osseous tissue.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in YY/T 0752 as well as the followings apply. For the convenience of application, some terms and definitions in YY/T 0752 are listed repeatedly as follows.
3.1
rasp
cutting tool that is powered by electric osseous tissue surgical equipment to perform reciprocating motion for rasping osseous tissue
Note: A rasp is typically composed of structural parts such as rasp cuts, body, joint lever, and coupling.
3.2
handpiece
component held by an operator and capable of driving the clamped surgical cutting tool to achieve surgical purposes
Note: The handpiece may be integrated or split type; a split-type handpiece is composed of a (power) handle that can provide power to the handpiece head, a handpiece head that clamps the cutting tool, and/or a speed and direction change mechanism.
3.3
rasp cuts
structural part that plays a rasping role on the working surface of the product
Note: The rasp cuts are divided into main cuts and auxiliary cuts. The main cuts play a primary role in rasping, while the auxiliary cuts play an auxiliary role in rasping.
3.4
cutting edge
intersection line of the front and rear knife faces on each rasp cut of the product, and sharp edge used to rasp (or cut) the tissue during the rasping process
3.5
body
part with rasp cuts attached to the surface, also the structural part that connects to the rasp cuts and the joint lever (if any) or the coupling to transmit mechanical power
3.6
coupling
structural part that connects to the handpiece of the electric osseous tissue surgical equipment to obtain mechanical power
3.7
joint lever
structural part that connects the body and the coupling to transmit mechanical power
3.8
frequency of work
output frequency corresponding to a specific load of work within the range of the maximum output frequency at output end of the handpiece specified by the manufacturer

1 Scope
This document specifies the terms and definitions, structural types, materials, requirements, test methods, instructions and markings for rasps among cutting tools for electric osseous tissue surgical equipment.

3 Terms and definitions

rasp
