3 Terms and Definitions
For the purposes of this standard, the following terms and definitions apply.
3.1
Base pipe
It refers to the steel pipe before coated with plastic powder.
3.2
Coating plastic steel pipe
Coating plastic steel pipe is a plastic-steel composite product taking the steel pipe as the base pipe, plastic powder as the coating material, with a layer of plastic coated on its internal surface through melting and a layer of plastic or other anticorrosive coating on its external surface through melting.
4 Product Classification and Designation
4.1 Classification
The coating plastic steel pipe, according to the different internal coating materials, is classified into polyethylene coated steel pipe and epoxy coated steel pipe.
4.2 Designation
The product designation consists of plastic composite steel pipe code, internal coating material code and nominal dimension.
