1 General Provisions
1.0.1 This specification is prepared for the purpose of carrying out correct and reasonable design, construction and acceptance for large-space intelligent active control sprinkler systems and protecting the safety of personal and property.
1.0.2 This specification is applicable to the design, construction and acceptance of large-space intelligent active control sprinkler systems in newly constructed, extended and renovated civil and industrial buildings.
This specification is not applicable to the design, construction and acceptance of large-space intelligent active control sprinkler systems in buildings of special functions such as powder, explosive, ammunition and initiating explosive device factory, nuclear power station and aircraft hangar.
1.0.3 The design of large-space intelligent active control sprinkler systems shall be safe and reliable, technique forward and economy reasonable.
1.0.4 Large-space extinguishing devices shall pass the compulsory or type inspection of national designated inspection organization and shall meet the market admittance rules for fire products.
1.0.5 When the purpose of building with large-space intelligent active control sprinkler systems is changed, the applicability of the original system shall be checked. If it is inapplicable, redesign, construction and acceptance shall be carried out according to the requirements of this specification, or other extinguishing systems may be adopted.
1.0.6 The design, construction and acceptance of large-space intelligent active control sprinkler systems shall meet those specified in this specification and the requirements of relevant national current compulsory standards as well.
2 Terms and Symbols
2.1 Terms
2.1.1 Large-space site
The site with clear height greater than 8m in civil and industrial buildings and greater than 12m in warehouse building.
2.1.2 Large-space extinguishing device
The general terms of large-space intelligent auto-sprinkler device, automatic-scanning sprinkler device and automatic-scanning elevated fire monitor extinguishing device.
2.1.3 Large-space intelligent active control sprinkler systems
The extinguishing system composed of components as large-space extinguishing device, signal valve group, flow detector as well as pipeline and water supply facilities, etc. and capable of automatically detecting fire position and spraying water actively in case of fire.
2.1.4 Large-space intelligent auto-sprinkler device
The intelligent automatic sprinkler device, composed of intelligent detection component, large-space large-flow sprinkler and electromagnetic valve group, having a circular sprinkling surface and capable of actively detecting fire position and opening the sprinkler for sprinkling. Intelligent detection component, large-space large-flow sprinkler and electromagnetic valve group are set independently.
2.1.5 Standard large-space intelligent auto-sprinkler device
The large-space intelligent auto-sprinkler device with installation height of 6m~25m, protection radius less than or equal to 6m, spraying flow greater than or equal to 5L/s.
2.1.6 Automatic-scanning sprinkler device
The intelligent automatic-scanning sprinkler device with fan-shaped sprinkling surface. It is composed of four parts, i.e. intelligent detection component, scanning sprinkler, mechanical driving device and electromagnetic valve group, where intelligent detection component, scanning sprinkler and mechanical driving device are set together.
2.1.7 Standard automatic-scanning sprinkler device
The intelligent automatic-scanning sprinkler device with installation height of 2.5m~6m, protection radius less than or equal to 6m, spraying flow greater than or equal to 2L/s.
2.1.8 Automatic-scanning elevated fire monitor extinguishing device
The intelligent automatic-scanning elevated fire monitor extinguishing device with rectangular sprinkling surface. It is composed of four parts, i.e. intelligent detection component, automatic-scanning elevated fire monitor (referred to as elevated fire monitor), mechanical driving device and electromagnetic valve group, where intelligent infrared detection component, automatic-scanning elevated fire monitor and mechanical driving device are set together.
2.1.9 Standard automatic-scanning elevated fire monitor extinguishing device
The intelligent automatic-scanning elevated fire monitor extinguishing device with installation height of 6m~20m, standard protection radius less than or equal to 20m, spraying flow greater than or equal to 5L/s.
2.1.10 Protected area
The area (which may be square, rectangle, round or in any shape) of the actual coverage of one or more sprinklers (elevated fire monitors) under standard working pressure.
