1 Scope This standard specifies the basic requirements for designing 3kV~500kV high voltage electrical switchgear in constructed projects of power plant and substation. This standard is applicable to the design for AC 3kV~500kV constructed electrical switchgear in power plant and substation projects. The design for extended or renovated electrical switchgear may be carried out referring to this standard. The foreign project shall be carried out by considering the local national condition and combining the specific circumstance of project. 2 Normative References The following standards contain provisions which, through reference in this text, constitute provisions of this standard. For dated reference, subsequent modification to, or revisions of, any of these publications do not apply. However, all parties coming to an agreement according to this standard are encouraged to study whether the latest edition of these documents is applicable. For undated references, the latest edition of the normative document is applicable to this standard.
