1 Scope
This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and packing, marking, transportation and storage of the gasoline engine oils made by adding various additives and with refined mineral oil, synthetic oil or the mixed oil of refined mineral oil and synthetic oil as the base oil.
The products in this standard are applicable to the lubrication of four stroke gasoline engines of vehicles used under various operation conditions, such as the lubrication for engines of car, light truck, van, and passenger car. See GB/T 7631.3, SAE J183 and ASTM D4485 for detailed classification.
