1 Scope
This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and packing, marking, transportation and storage of the diesel engine oils made by adding various additives or complexing agent and with refined mineral oil, synthetic oil or the mixed oil of refined mineral oil and synthetic oil as the base oil.
The products in this standard are applicable to the four stroke diesel engines (using diesel as fuel), such as the lubrication of diesel engines of truck, passengers car and van, and the lubrication of diesel engines which are used for agricultural, industry and construction. See GB/T 7631.3, SAE J183 and ASTM D4485 for detailed classification.
