4.1 Classification
4.1.1 Fire resistive coating can be classified as following according to the fire protected object:
a) Fire resistive coating for ordinary steel structures: fire resistive coating for the surface of steel structures of ordinary industrial and civil buildings (structures);
b) Fire resistive coating for special steel structures: fire resistive coating used on the surface of special buildings (structures), such as petrochemical facilities, power transformation and distribution stations, etc.
4.1.2 Fire resistive coating can be classified as following according to the use locations:
a) Fire resistive coating for interior steel structure: fire resistive coating used for the surface of steel structure in the building interior or concealed works;
b) Fire resistive coating for outdoor steel structure: fire resistive coating used for the surface of steel structure in the building outdoor or outdoor works;
4.1.3 Fire resistive coating can be classified as following according to the dispersion medium:
a) Water-based fire resistive coating for steel structure: fire resistive coating with water as dispersion medium for steel structure;
b) Solvent-based fire resistive coating for steel structure: fire resistive coating with organic solvent as dispersion medium for steel structure.
4.1.4 Fire resistive coating can be classified as following according to the fire protection mechanism:
a) Fire resistive coating for expanded steel structure: fire resistive coating for steel structure used for the coating expands and foams at high temperature to form a fire resistance and heat-insulating protective layer;
b) Fire resistive coating for non-expansible steel structure: fire resistive coating for steel structure can forms a fire resistance and heat-insulating protective layer without expanding and foaming at high temperature.
4.2 Fire resistance classification
4.2.1 Fire resistance limits of fire resistive coating for steel structure are classified into: 0.50 h, 1.00 h, 1.50 h, 2.00 h, 2.50 h and 3.00 h.
