1.0.1 This code is formulated with a view to summarizing China's grain steel silo construction experience and making the grain steel silo achieve safety and reliability, advanced technology, economy and rationality.
1.0.2 This code is applicable to the design of round, centrical receiving and discharging grain steel silos.
1.0.3 The designed service life of grain steel silos shall not be less than 25 years.
1.0.4 Safety class of grain steel silo structure shall be Class II; the seismic precautionary category shall be Category C and the fire resistance class may be Class II.
1.0.5 Grain steel silos shall be designed by organizations with relevant design qualifications.
1.0.6 Design of grain steel silos shall not only meet the requirements of this code, but also those in relevant national current standards.
