1 General Provisions
1.0.1 This code is formulated with a view to standardizing installation construction management, unifying constructional quality acceptance of engineering, and ensuring construction quality for pure water system of electronic industry.
1.0.2 This code is applicable to the installation and acceptance of constructed, renovated or extended pure water system of electronic industry.
1.0.3 Pure water system shall be constructed according to approved construction drawings, relevant technical standards and the technical content stipulated in the Contract. The construction drawings shall be subjected to modification upon the design alteration notice issued by the design organization or technical identification and approval.
1.0.4 Pure water system installation and acceptance shall not only meet the requirements of this code, but also comply with those stipulated in the current relevant standards of the nation.
2 Terminologies and Abbreviations
2.1 Terminologies
2.1.1 Pure water system of electronic industry
A generic term of the system composed of preparation equipment, pipeline, electric appliance and corresponding instruments, preparing pure water and ultrapure water used in electronic industry production.
2.1.2 Multi media filter
A device that makes water pass through multilayered medium filled in the equipment under a certain pressure, with suspensions, floccules and other impurities in water held by the medium pore.
2.1.3 Active carbon filter
A device under the category of pressure-type filtering equipment, filled with active carbon that has relatively large specific surface area and both physisorption and chemisorption, removing organic substance, residual chlorine, chroma and peculiar smell in water by integrated adsorption.
2.1.4 Reverse osmosis unit
A device, composed of membrane and assembly, that uses a kind of semipermeable membrane under the action of applied pressure, to make water molecules and some other substances selectively flow from the high concentration side to the low concentration side, thus removing the vast majority of dissolved solids (salts), organic substances, colloid and particles, etc.
