This document replaces GB/T 5842-2022 Liquefied petroleum gas cylinders. In addition to structural adjustment and editorial changes, the following main technical changes have been made with respect to GB/T 5842-2022:
a) The representing method of model of gas cylinders is modified (see 5.1 hereof; 5.1 of Edition 2022);
b) Some models of gas cylinders are deleted and changed, the model parameters of allowable filling weight are added, and the serial number of modification is changed from Roman alphabet to Chinese character. The diameter dimensions of shield and base are added, and the requirements that YSP118/49. 5 and YSP118/Liquid/49. 5 gas cylinders shall not be installed indoors in the buildings, and other gas cylinders shall not be installed indoors in crowded places are added (see 5.2 hereof; 5.2 of Edition 2022);
c) The structural type of gas-liquid dual-phase gas cylinder is modified from gas-liquid dual-phase cylinder to single liquid-phase cylinder (see 5.3 hereof; 5.3 of Edition 2022);
d) The requirements for cylinder valve seat specifications and the requirements for cylinder valve seat dimensions are added (see 7.3.4 hereof; 7.3.4 of Edition 2022);
e) The preservation requirements for hydrostatic test results of gas cylinders are added (see 9.2.2.3 hereof);
f) The type test items are added and the requirements for re-conducting type tests are modified (see 9.6.1 hereof; 9.6.1 of Edition 2022);
g) The requirements for the indentation of the word "LIQUID" in the upper head of the liquid phase cylinder are added (see 10.1.2 hereof).
