This document replaces GB/T 5842-2006 Liquefied petroleum gas cylinders. In addition to structural adjustment and editorial changes, the following main technical changes have been made with respect to GB/T 5842-2006:
a) The definitions of assure value of mechanical properties after heat treatment and small capacity cylinders are deleted (see Clause 3 of Edition 2006);
b) Some symbol requirements are modified (see Clause 4 hereof; Clause 4 of Edition 2006);
c) Some cylinder models and parameters are added (see 5.2 hereof; 5.2 of Edition 2006);
d) The requirements for the chemical composition of the main material are modified (see 6.2 hereof; 6.2 of Edition 2006);
e) The calculation equation of cylinder body wall thickness is modified (7.2 hereof; 7.2 of Edition 2006);
f) The requirements that “the design wall thickness of cylinder body and head of YSP118 and YSP118-II specifications shall be based on the equation respectively” are added (see 7.2.3 hereof);
g) The requirements for cylinder thread dimensions and directions are added (see 7.3.4 hereof);
h) The requirements for hole reinforcement are added (see 7.3.6 hereof);

1 Scope
This document specifies the symbols and interpretations, type, material, design, manufacturing, test method and inspection rules, marking, packaging, coating, storage and transportation, factory documents and other requirements of liquefied petroleum steel gas cylinders (hereinafter referred to as “gas cylinders").
This document is applicable to the design and manufacture of steel welded gas cylinders for use at normal ambient temperature (-40°C to 60°C), nominal working pressure of 2.1 MPa, nominal volume of not greater than 150L, and can be repeatedly filled with liquefied petroleum gas conforming to GB 11174.

5 Type of gas cylinder
5.1 Designation of gas cylinder models
The gas cylinder model is designated as follows:
The modification serial number is used to indicate that the structure, value base thread and cylinder valve model of a certain specification cylinder in YSP series have been modified; if no modification has been made, the modification serial number may not be marked.
Example: YSP35.5 refers to 35.5L liquefied petroleum steel gas cylinders.
5.2 Types and parameters of gas cylinder
The gas cylinders shall be designed and manufactured according to the specifications in Table 2.

1 Scope
This document specifies the symbols and interpretations, type, material, design, manufacturing, test method and inspection rules, marking, packaging, coating, storage and transportation, factory documents and other requirements of liquefied petroleum steel gas cylinders (hereinafter referred to as “gas cylinders").
This document is applicable to the design and manufacture of steel welded gas cylinders for use at normal ambient temperature (-40°C to 60°C), nominal working pressure of 2.1 MPa, nominal volume of not greater than 150L, and can be repeatedly filled with liquefied petroleum gas conforming to GB 11174.

5.1 Designation of gas cylinder models
The gas cylinder model is designated as follows:
The modification serial number is used to indicate that the structure, value base thread and cylinder valve model of a certain specification cylinder in YSP series have been modified; if no modification has been made, the modification serial number may not be marked.
