1 Scope
This standard specifies the terms, definitions and abbreviations, classification and additional classification, requirements, measurement and test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage for medium density fiberboard.
This standard is applicable to dry-process medium density fiberboard.
Note: the requirements for product properties specified in this standard are not characteristic values to be used for design purposes. If the medium density fiberboard is classified as for load bearing or specified building application, and for substitution of specific load bearing purpose, the related characteristics and properties shall additionally comply with relevant national standards (codes).
