1 Subject Content and Applicable Scope
This standard specifies the method summary, apparatus, test procedures and result calculation for the determination of the coke breeze content and size consist of coke for metallurgy with size larger than 25mm.
This standard is applicable to the determination of coke breeze content and size consist of large coke with size larger than 40 mm, of large and medium coke larger than 25 mm and medium coke of 25 to 40 mm.

3 Method Summary
The metallurgical coke samples are sieved with a mechanical sieve, and the mass of each particle fraction is calculated as a percentage of the total mass of the sample, that is, the size consist. The mass of coke less than 25 mm to a percentage of the total mass of the sample is the coke breeze content.
4 Apparatus
4.1 Square hole mechanical sieve
Performance and main specifications of square hole mechanical sieve:
Dimensions: length 2100mm × width 1340mm × height 1310mm (Figure 1);
Number of sieve layers: 4;
Total weight of the sieve: about 500kg;
Inclination angle of the sieve: 11.5 °;
Amplitude of the sieve: 3 ~ 6mm;
Motor: 2.2kW, 450r/min;
Speed ratio: 1:1.

4.2 Technical requirements for square-hole sieve
4.2.1 The sieve is a punching sieve of 1630mm×700mm, and the sieve hole is square (as shown in Figure 2). The dimensions are shown in the following table.

4.2.2 The sieve is punched with a puncher. After punching, the edge of the sieve is not allowed to be flattened with hammer. When installing, punch the burrs down and use a sand wheel to level the burrs.
4.2.3 All punching holes must be completely included in the effective area of 1630mm × 690mm.
4.2.4 If the length of any side of the sieve of each grade exceeds 2% of the nominal value, it is a waste hole. When the number of holes exceeds 10% of the total number of sieve holes, the sieve shall be replaced.
4.3 Measurement scale: the sensitivity is 0.1kg. Correct the zero point before each test.
5 Sampling
Sampling shall be carried out according to the requirements in GB/T 1997.
5.2 Where the sample is found to be so hydrated that affects the test result, it shall be properly treated before testing.
