GB/T 2102-2022 Acceptance, packaging, marking and quality certification for steel tubular products
This document is developed in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2020 Directives for standardization - Part 1: Rules for the structure and drafting of standardizing documents.
This document replaces GB/T 2102-2006 Acceptance, packing, marking and quality certification of steel pipe. In addition to structural adjustments and editorial changes, the following main technical changes have been made with respect to GB/T 2102-2006:
a) The requirements for reuse, recovery and recycling of packaging materials are added (see 5.2.2 hereof);
b) The wire rods are added to the strapping material (see 5.2.3 hereof);
c) The application scope and material type of protective packaging material are modified (see 5.2.5 hereof; 5.2.4 of Edition 2006);
d) The distance between the strapping parts and the ends of the steel tube (see 5.3.5 hereof, 5.3.2 of Edition 2006);
e) The length difference requirement of single steel tube in each bundle is added (see 5.3.8 hereof);
f) The stationary requirements and mode of steel tube when the container is modified (see 5.4.3 hereof; 5.4.3 of Edition 2006);
g) The applicable range of steel tube that cannot be marked piece by piece is modified (see 6.1.2 hereof; 6.2.2 of Edition 2006);
h) The designation or code of cladding material is added to the designation of composite steel tube (see 6.2.1, 6.2.2 and 6.4.1 hereof);
i) One-dimensional bar code and QR code as well as their requirements are added to the logo content (see 6.2.2, 6.4.1, 6.4.2 and 7.4 hereof);
j) The brand or code of cladding material is added in quality certificate of composite steel tube (see 7.3 hereof);
k) One-dimensional bar code and QR code as well as their requirements are added to the quality certificate (see 7.4 hereof).

1 Scope
This document specifies the technical requirements for the acceptance rule, packing, marking and quality certification of steel tube.
This document is applicable to the general requirements for the acceptance rule, packing, marking and quality certification of steel tube. When the product standard has specific regulations, the corresponding regulations shall be followed.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in GB/T 17505, GB/T 30062 and the following apply.

packaging
operation of wrapping, bundling or placing one or more steel tubes in a container to form a cargo unit, using strapping material (3.3), containers and auxiliary materials and applying certain technical methods, in order to protect products during circulation, facilitate storage and transportation, and promote sales
3.2
strapping package, binding
packaging (3.1) method in which steel tubes are tied, fixed or reinforced by strapping materials (3.3)
3.3
strapping material
materials used to fasten, fix and strengthen steel tube or packages
3.4
hand protective material
material placed between steel tubes or between steel tube and strapping material (3.3) so as to prevent the steel tube and/or strapping material (3.3) from being damaged
3.5
marking
visual image for transmitting specific information of a steel tube, or a method for identifying the visual image thereof, which is composed of symbols, characters, letters, numbers, colors, geometric shapes (or frames) and/or graphics
3.6
label
marking (3.5) card fixed to a package, container or steel tube for conveying steel tube-specific information
Note: Labels are often made of paper, hard plastic, metal and other materials.

4 Acceptance rules
