1 Scope
This standard specifies the order contents, dimensions, shapes, weights and tolerance, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking and quality certificate of seamless steel tubes and pipes for low and medium pressure boiler.
This standard applies to the manufacture of high-quality carbon structural seamless steel tubes and pipes for low and medium pressure boiler (hereinafter referred to as "steel pipes"), and to other seamless steel tubes and pipes of pipelines for reference.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purpose of this standard, the terms and definitions specified in GB/T 30062 apply.
4 Order content
The contract or order for ordering steel pipes according to this standard shall cover the followings:
a) document No.;
b) product name;
c) steel grade;
d) dimensions;
e) order quantity (total weight or length);
f) delivery state;
g) special requirements.
5 Dimension, shape, weight and tolerance
5.1 Outside diameter and wall thickness
The nominal outside diameter (D) and nominal wall thickness (S) of steel pipe shall comply with GB/T 17395. As required by the purchaser, steel pipes beyond the dimension specified in GB/T 17395 may be supplied upon negotiation between the supplier and the purchaser.
5.2 Tolerances for outside diameter and wall thickness
5.2.1 The tolerances for outside diameter of steel pipes shall meet those specified in Table 1.
