This standard is developed in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
This standard replaces GB/T 24157-2009 Electric motorcycles and electric mopeds - Energy consumption and range - Test procedures.
The following main revisions have been made with respect to GB/T 24157-2009:
——The relevant definition and test method of "indication for the state of charge” are added;
——The test termination conditions are modified, i.e. "more than 4s accumulatively" is changed to "last for more than 4s";
——The test speed and time tolerance are modified;
——The calculation method of test results is modified, i.e. the conversion of equivalent range and equivalent energy consumption is canceled, and the results of two test conditions are recorded separately;
——The cycle condition of electric mopeds is modified.
This standard was proposed by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China.
This standard is under the jurisdiction of National Technical Committee of Auto Standardization (SAC/TC 114).
The previous edition of this standard is as follows:
——GB/T 24157-2009.
Test methods of range and indication for the state of charge for electric motorcycles and electric mopeds
1 Scope
This standard specifies the test methods of range, energy consumption and indication for the state of charge for electric motorcycles and electric mopeds.
This standard is applicable to electric motorcycles and electric mopeds with energy storage batteries as the only power source, and may also serve as a reference for the pure electric driving mode for hybrid motorcycles.

complete kerb mass plus the loading mass required for the test. The loading mass, including the mass of driver and test instruments, is (75±5)kg. The mass of test vehicle shall include the mass of power battery
3.2
range
distance, in km, that the vehicle can run normally and continuously, from the fully charged state of the power battery to the set test termination condition
3.3
energy consumption
value obtained by dividing the electric energy obtained from the grid by the range, from the fully charged state of the power battery to recharging to the fully charged state after the range test is conducted according to the prescribed method, in W·h/km
3.4
state of charge
ratio of the remaining capacity to the rated one after the power battery is discharged, usually expressed as a percentage
3.5
indication for the state of charge
display of the state of charge in the form of pointer, indicator light, digit, data bar, etc. for viewing. Refer to Annex A for typical types of indication for the state of charge
3.6
warning for the state of charge
warning by sound and light signals given to prompt charging as soon as possible when the state of charge is below the warning value
3.7
range of warning for the state of charge
distance, in km, that the vehicle can still run normally after the warning for the state of charge is given
3.8
margin of warning for the state of charge
ratio of the difference between the measured value of the range of warning for the state of charge and the manufacturer's nominal value to the range, expressed as a percentage
4 Test conditions
4.1 Test vehicle conditions
4.1.1 The test vehicle shall be equipped with indicating and warning devices for the state of charge, and meet the requirements of GB 24155.
4.1.2 The power battery that the test vehicle is equipped with shall be produced within a year, and charged and discharged for no more than 50 times.
4.1.3 Before the test, the test vehicle shall run in for at least 300km with the matched power battery, or run in according to the procedure recommended by the manufacturer until the vehicle reaches a stable state. The running-in process shall be carried out according to the specifications specified in the instructions; if not specified, refer to the method specified in 5.3.1.
4.1.4 The test vehicle shall be maintained according to the use and maintenance instructions and relevant technical documents, so as to be in normal technical condition.
4.1.5 The test vehicle shall be loaded according to 3.1. If the test is carried out on a chassis dynamometer, the test vehicle shall be loaded according to the mass of test vehicle specified in GB 18176 or GB 14622.
4.1.6 The tyre pressure shall comply with the product use instructions.
4.1.7 Except the necessary equipment and daily operation parts of the vehicle, the lighting and signaling devices as well as auxiliary devices of the test vehicle shall be turned off.
4.2 Test road conditions
4.2.1 The test road shall be asphalt or concrete road, and the pavement shall be flat, dry and clean. In case of a ring road, the turning radius shall be no less than 50m.
