1 Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, service environment conditions, rated values, technical requirements, type test, routine test, special test, field test, etc. of high-voltage direct current transfer switches.
This standard is applicable to DC transfer switches for DC transmission at a voltage level of ±800 kV and below, including metallic return transfer breaker (MRTB), earth return transfer breaker (ERTB), neutral bus switch (NBS) and neutral bus grounding switch (NBGS).
This standard is also applicable to the operating mechanism and auxiliary equipment of these transfer switches.
