Woolen fabric
1 Scope
This document specifies the technical requirements, inspection rules, and packaging and marking requirements of woolen fabric, and also describes the corresponding test methods.
This document is applicable to the quality identification of carded wool, and wool blends and intertexture for use in all types of woven garments.

4 Technical requirements
4.1 Safety requirements
The general safety specification for woolen fabric shall meet the requirements of GB 18401, and that for woolen fabric used in textile products for infants and children shall also meet the requirements of GB 31701.
4.2 Grading requirements
The quality grade of woolen fabric shall be comprehensively rated on a batch basis according to the inspection results on inherent quality and appearance quality, and shall be determined by the lowest grade of inspection results. The woolen fabric is classified into superior product, first-grade product and acceptable product in terms of the quality grade.
4.3 Rating of inherent quality grade
The internal quality grade of woolen fabric shall be rated in accordance with the requirements specified in Table 1.
