3 Terms and Definitions
The following terms and definitions are applicable to this Part of GB/T 4802.
3.1
Fuzzing
The obvious superficial alteration generated when the projection of fiber or extrusion of fiber end on the surface of the textile forms lint.
Note: This kind of variation may happen in the process of watering, dry cleaning, wearing or use.
3.2
Pills
The compact bulb that is formed in fiber matting, projected on the surface of textile, can't be penetrated by ray and may generate projection.
Note: The formation of pills may happen in the process of watering, dry cleaning, wearing or use.
3.3
Pilling
The process of generating pills on the surface of textile.
