Halogen free low smoke and flame-retardant compounds for wires and cables
1 Scope
This standard specifies the product classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking, transport and storage of halogen free low smoke and flame-retardant compounds for wires and cables (hereinafter referred to as “halogen free low smoke and flame-retardant compounds”).
This standard is applicable to the sheath for halogen free low smoke and flame-retardant wires, cables and optical cables, and the insulation for halogen free low smoke and flame-retardant wires and cables with rated voltage of 3 kV and below.
This standard is applicable to halogen free low smoke and flame-retardant compounds made from one or more halogen free polymers or copolymers, with the addition of halogen-free flame retardants and other performance additives, by mixing, plasticizing, granulating.
This standard is applicable to thermoplastic and cross-linked halogen free low smoke and flame-retardant compounds.
Note: For cross-linked products, the specified properties refer to the properties of materials after cross-linking.
