4 Test methods
4.1 Warning
Attention is drawn to the necessity for taking precautions to safeguard the health and safety of the personnel conducting the tests against the potential hazard may arise from the test specified in this standard.
Some reagents used in the analysis are toxic. Wear protective articles such as glasses and gloves during operation.
4.2 General requirement
Unless otherwise stated, only recognized analytically pure reagents and Grade III water specified in GB/T 6682 are used for the analysis.
Unless otherwise specified, the standard titration solutions, preparations and products used in the analysis shall be prepared in accordance with the requirements of GB/T 601 and GB/T 603.
4.3 Determination of dimethyl carbonate and methanol content
4.3.1 Method summary
Gas chromatography, under the selected chromatographic conditions, the specimen is gasified and passed through the chromatographic column to separate the components. Detect it with hydrogen flame detector. The content of dimethyl carbonate is calculated by area normalization method, and the content of methanol is calculated by external standard method.
4.3.2 Reagents
4.3.2.1 Hydrogen: the volume fraction is greater than 99.99%.
4.3.2.2 Nitrogen: the volume fraction is greater than 99.99%.
4.3.2.3 Air: dried and purified by silica gel or molecular sieve.
4.3.2.4 Methanol: chromatographically pure.
4.3.2.5 Dimethyl carbonate: electronic grade, the mass fraction of methanol is not greater than 0.001%.
4.3.3 Apparatus
4.3.3.1 Gas chromatograph: equipped with hydrogen flame ionization detector (FID) for capillary column analysis. The sensitivity of the whole machine shall meet the requirements of GB/T 9722, and the linear range meets the analysis requirements.
4.3.3.2 Recorder: chromatographic working station or processor.
4.3.3.3 Sample injector: 10 μL microliter syringe.
