Green product assessment - Furniture
1 Scope
This document specifies the requirements for assessment of furniture, a kind of green products, and describes the assessment methods.
It is applicable to the green product assessment of furniture.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in GB/T 28202, GB/T 29115, GB/T 31106, GB/T 31107, GB/T 33761 and GBZ 2.1 apply.
4 Assessment requirements
4.1 Basic requirements
4.1.1 Manufacturer
4.1.1.1 The pollutant discharge status of the manufacturer shall meet the relevant laws and regulations on environmental protection and the requirements of national or local pollutant discharge standards and the manufacturer shall be free from major or above safety accidents or environmental pollution events in the past three years.
4.1.1.2 The total pollutant emission control of the manufacturer shall meet the national and local total pollutant emission control indicator.
4.1.1.3 The manufacturer shall establish, implement, maintain and continuously improve an environmental management system, a quality management system, an energy management system and an occupational health and safety management system according to GB/T 24001, GB/T 19001, GB/T 23331 and GB/T 45001 respectively for management.
4.1.1.4 The manufacturer shall carry out the work related to the product green design, continue to improve the green design of products in terms of resources, energy, environment, quality, low carbon, etc., throughout their life cycle to achieve the goals of reduction, reuse and resource utilization, and provide a self-evaluation report.
4.1.1.5 The manufacturer shall adopt advanced technologies and processes encouraged by the State other than technologies, technological equipment and related substances that have been eliminated or banned by the State or relevant departments. The manufacturer shall regularly provide employees with education and training on knowledge related to green manufacturing, disseminate the concept and knowledge of green manufacturing, and evaluate the results of education and training.
4.1.1.6 The manufacturer shall make requirements for and evaluate the environment, safety and health management and the quality of suppliers/subcontractors/contractors, and shall requires them to provide an environmental content report.

4 Assessment requirements
4.1 Basic requirements
4.1.1 Manufacturer
