Industrial trucks - Safety monitoring system
1 Scope
This standard specifies the composition, contents and requirements of safety monitoring system for industrial trucks (hereinafter referred to as "monitoring system") as well as inspection methods and inspection items adopted in the system.
It is applicable to counterbalance lift trucks, reach trucks, side-loading trucks, straddle trucks, pallet-stacking trucks and lateral- and front-stacking trucks (three sides). It may also be referenced by other types of industrial trucks.
2 Normative references
The following referenced documents are indispensable for the application of this document. For dated references, only the edition cited applies. For undated references, the latest edition of the referenced document (including any amendments) applies.
GB/T 6104.1 Industrial trucks - Terminology and classification - Part 1: Types of industrial trucks
GB/T 10827.1 Industrial trucks - Safety requirements and verification - Part 1: Self-propelled industrial trucks, other than driverless trucks, variable-reach trucks and burden-carrier trucks
3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this standard, the terms and definitions specified in GB/T 6104.1 and GB/T 10827.1 as well as the following apply.
3.1
safety monitoring system
system that monitors the working process of industrial trucks and can record and manage their operation parameters and states
3.2
information source
operation parameters and states collected to meet safety requirements for industrial trucks
3.3
information collection unit
device for information source collection
3.4
information processing unit
device used to calculate and process collected information
3.5
output control unit
device that outputs control signals to industrial trucks actuators
3.6
information storage unit
device that stores information such as graphics, images, characters, and sound
3.7
information display unit
device that outputs information such forms as graphics, images, texts, sound and light
3.8
information output interface unit
device that outputs information to units of higher or lower levels
3.9
remote information transfer unit
device that communicates with a remote server
3.10
comprehensive system error
maximum relative error between the value measured by the monitoring system and the set value
3.11
remote monitoring center
device that receives information transmitted by remote information transfer unit via a remote server and monitors and manages the information
3.12
working time
specific time corresponding to each working state during the power-on period of an industrial truck, that is, the clock time (year/month/day/hour/minute/second) when one working state is recorded
3.13
blind area
areas that cannot be directly observed by an industrial truck’s operator in the normal operating position due to the blocked vision by the truck body or goods, which affects the normal operation
Note: The blind area may be classified into front one and rear one.
4 Composition of the monitoring system
4.1 The safety monitoring system consists of hardware and software parts. Its functional units include: the information collection unit, the information processing unit, the output control unit, the information storage unit, the information display unit and the information output interface unit.
Note: This monitoring system is an integral part of the electrical control system for industrial trucks, but not an independent product.
4.2 The structural mode of the monitoring system is shown in Figure 1.
