1 Scope
This standard specifies the safety requirements and test methods for wheeled child conveyances ridden by one or more children.
This standard is not applicable to toy pushchair or pushchair designed for other special purposes.

3 Terms and Definitions
For the purpose of this standard, the following terms and definitions apply.
3.1
Wheeled child conveyance
It refers to the pushchair designed for conveying one or more children and pushed by manpower.
3.2
Pram body
It refers to the flat-bottomed box structure with continuous surrounding, which is used for bearing one or more children and is mainly used for horizontal position.
3.3
Seat unit
It refers to the structure used for bearing one or more children and can be adjusted to reclined or inclined lying position.
3.4
Chassis
It has one or more handles for pushing. This wheel chassis is used to allocate one or more pram bodies or seat units.
3.5
Pram
It refers to the pushchair designed for conveying one or more flat lying children, including one chassis and one or more pram bodies.
3.6
Pushchair
It refers to the pushchair designed for conveying one or more seat children with movable and adjustable backrest, including one chassis and one or more seat units.
3.7
Convertible
It combines two performances of pram and pushchair and may carry out the transformation between pram body and seat unit.
3.8
Combination pushchair
It refers to the pushchair with multi-purpose combination possibility through installing pram body, seat unit and automobile chair to chassis or obtaining the corresponding function through special transformation.
3.9
Access zone
It refers to the zone can be touched around ridden children, which is specified for safety needs, shown as Figure 1.

a) The zone outside 150mm radius arc surface below the cushion of the pushchair taking cushion edge as the axis is non-access zone. If having the closed armrest, the zone outside 150mm radius arc surface of cushion bottom and armrest outside taking top edge of armrest as the axis is non-access zone.
b) The zone outside 150mm radius arc surface taking both side edge of pushchair backrest as the axis is non-access zone.
c) The zone outside 550mm from seat unit upside to cushion is non-access area.
2) Pram body
a) The zone below pram body of pram and outside 150mm radius arc surface of top edge from fence outside to surrounding fences of pram body is non-access zone.
b) The zone outside 450mm from pram body upside to pram body bottom is non-access area.

Parking device
It refers to the device maintaining the pushchair in one resting position.
3.11
Locking device for the folding mechanism
It refers to the device preventing pushchair from accidental folding.
3.12
Restraint system
It refers to the system restricting the children in pushchair.
3.13
Waist belt
It refers to the belt around child waist after tying up.
3.14
Crotch strap
It refers to the strap preventing children forward slide out through two hips of the child.
3.15
Shoulder strap
It refers to the strap bypassing two shoulders of the child and used with waist belt matching.
3.16
Integral harness
It generally has two structures such as three-point type and five-point type: three-point type includes waist belt and crotch strap; five-point type includes waist belt, crotch strap and shoulder strap.
3.17
Canopy
It refers to the component preventing child head against climatic factor (such as sunshine and rain) effect when the child is in pram body or seat unit.
3.18
Mattress
It refers to the mattress ensuring children comfort, which is demountable or non-demountable.
3.19
Basket
It refers to basket or similar device on the pushchair, which is used for carrying other loads.
3.20
Footrest
It refers to the structure supporting the children's feet in pushchair.
4 Technical Requirements
4.1 Materials
4.1.1 Material Quality
All materials shall be clean and free from pollution through visual inspection. The material inspection shall adopt visual inspection instead of magnification inspection.
4.1.2 Maximum Limit of Specific Transportable Element
The parts and materials in access zone of wheeled child conveyance shall be tested according to 5.6 (test of specific transportable element); the corrected value for the test result of specific transportable element shall be in accordance with the maximum limit specified in Table 1.
