GB/T 5585 Copper or aluminium and its alloy bus bars for electrical purposes consists of two parts:
— Part 1: Copper and copper alloy bus bars;
— Part 2: Aluminium and aluminium alloy bus bars.
This part is Part 1 of GB/T 5585.
This part is drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
This part replaces GB/T 5585.1-2005 Copper or aluminium and its alloy bus bars for electrical purposes — Part 1: Aluminium and aluminium alloy bus bars, and the following main technical changes have been made with respect to GB/T 5585.1-2005:
— modified the name of the copper alloy bus bars, changing all the terms “silver-copper alloy” to “copper-silver alloy” (see 4.1; 3.2 and 4.3 of Edition 2005);
— standardized codes and product representation methods (see 4.1, 4.2; 3.2 and 3.3 of Edition 2005).
— modified the chemical composition of copper alloy bus bars (see Table 2 in 5.3; Table 1 in 4.3 of Edition 2005).
— added the table note in “Table 3 copper and copper alloy bus bar dimensions” (see Table 3; Table 2 of Edition 2005);
— standardized the expression of the test classification (see 8.1; 7.1 of Edition 2005);

1 Scope
This part of GB/T 5585 specifies the code, product representation method, technical requirements, test, delivery length and mass, acceptance rules, product certificate, packaging, marking, transportation and storage of the copper and its alloy bus bars for electrical purposes.

4 Code and product representation method
4.1 Code
The code classification of copper and copper alloy bus bars includes material type code, cross-sectional shape code, and state code, as shown in Table 1.

Example 1: TH11MY 10 × 100 GB/T 5585.1-2018 represents that:
Class I copper-silver alloy bus bar with fillets, thickness of 10.00 mm, width of 100.00 mm, and in hard state.
Example 2: TMBR 10×100 GB/T 5585.1-2018 represents that:
Copper bus bar with rounded edges, with 10.00 mm in thickness and 100.00 mm in width, and in soft state.
5 Technical Requirements
5.1 Cross-section shape of copper and copper alloy bus bars
The cross-section shapes of bus bar are as shown in Figure 1. The circular arc of the round edge cross-section of bus bar shall be completely symmetrical with respect to the product axis, and the transition treatment shall be carried out at the corner of the circular arc. The radius "r" of the rounded edge of the full rounded edge bus bar shall be half of the thickness "a". The radius "r" and its deviation of fillet, round edge and full round edge shall meet the requirements of 5.5.

5 Technical Requirements
