——the size groups of fittings are added (see 8.4.1);
——the properties of compounds for PVC-U fittings are added (see Annex A).
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of patent rights. The issuing body of this document shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent rights.
This part was proposed by China National Light Industry Council.
This standard is under the jurisdiction of National Technical Committee on Plastic Products of Standardization Administration of China (SAC/TC 48).
The previous editions of this part are as follows:
——GB/T 5836-1986;
——GB/T 5836.2-1992 and GB/T 5836.2-2006.
Unplasticized poly(vinyl chloride) (PVC-U) fittings for soil and waste discharge inside buildings
1 Scope
This part of GB/T 5836 specifies the terms, definitions and symbols, materials, product classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, transportation and storage of unplasticized poly(vinyl chloride) (PVC-U) fittings for soil and waste discharge inside buildings (hereinafter referred to as “fittings”).
This part is applicable to fittings for soil and waste discharge inside buildings which are mainly made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) resin by injection molding. It is also applicable to fittings for industrial soil and waste discharge provided that the chemical resistance and heat resistance of the material meet the use requirements.
The fittings specified in this part shall be used with the pipes specified in GB/T 5836.1-2018.
