1 Scope
This standard specifies the general requirements for cylindrical rotor synchronous machine and respectively specifies the special requirements for the air cooled or liquid cooled synchronous machines driven by combustion gas turbine.
This standard also specifies the matters needing attention for the hydrogen-cooled generator, including the rotating exciter driven by synchronous generator, the auxiliary equipments required for the generator operation and the areas in the plant building where hydrogen gas may be accumulated.
This standard applies to three-phase cylindrical rotor synchronous generators, having capacity above 10MVA (or MW). It supplements GB 755.Matters not specified in this standard all shall comply with those specified in GB 755. This standard includes neither the motors continuously supplied by inverters nor the imported generators.
This standard is the important reference for the users and the manufacturer signing technical agreement. The special requirements for specific products, if any, may be decided by the supplier and the purchaser.
