本标准规定了测定在用的润滑油中正戊烷不溶物和甲苯不溶物的两种方法。
本标准方法A适用于在用润滑油不加凝聚剂的正戊烷不溶物和甲苯不溶物的测定。本方法采用离心法将油—溶剂混合物中不溶物分离开。
本标准方法B适用于含有清净分散剂的在用润滑油,测定加入凝聚剂的凝聚后正戊烷不溶物和凝聚后甲苯不溶物。除方法A分离的物质外,本方法还可分离一些细小的可能悬浮在油中的物质。
