This is Part 1 of GB/T 9124.
This part is developed in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

——the contents of PN designated flanges in Edition 2010 are supplemented and revised;
——the nominal pressure range of blind flange is extended from PN2.5~PN160 to PN2.5~PN400;
——the nominal size range of hubbed screwed flanges is changed from DN10~DN1000 to DN10~DN150;
——the outside diameter of steel pipe is revised, and the flange size is revised accordingly;
——some materials for flanges and their pressure-temperature ratings are supplemented;
——other relevant contents such as technical requirements are revised and improved;

Introduction
GB/T 9112~9124-2010 series are mainly divided into 13 standards according to different flange types and are integrated into 2 standards after revision according to nominal pressure series of flanges, i.e., GB/T 9124.1-2019 Steel pipe flanges - Part 1: PN designated and GB/T 9124.2-2019 Steel pipe flanges - Part 2: Class designated.
ISO 7005-1: 2011 Pipe flanges - Part 1: Steel flanges for industrial and general service piping systems specifies the technical contents of steel pipe flanges such as terms and definitions, purchaser specification data, process, pressure limits, material, application considerations, other considerations for specification, installation guidance and information to be specified by the purchaser; compared with ISO 7005-1: 1992, ISO 7005-1: 2011 no longer specifies detailed technical parameters, but requires direct reference to CEN standard EN 1092-1 Flanges and their joints - Circular flanges for pipes, valves, fittings and accessories, PN designated - Part 1: Steel flanges, and ASMEB 16.5 Pipe flanges and flanged fittings NPS 1/2 through NPS 24 metric/inch standard and ASMEB 16.47 Large diameter steel flanges NPS 26 through NPS 60 metric/inch standard.
The flange sizes specified in this part are interchangeable with those in EN 1092-1: 2018, with basically same technical requirements. The following main changes have been made with respect to EN 1092-1: 2018:
——the writing format of this part is different from EN 1092-1: 2018;
——according to the requirements of users in China, the flange nominal size range is appropriately extended, for example, the flange sizes of DN20 and DN32 with nominal pressure range of PN160~PN400 are added;
——according to the requirements of users in China, the types and sizes of flanges with ring joint faces are added;
——the types and sizes of hubbed socket welding flanges are supplemented;
——EN 1092-1: 2018 includes only one outside diameter series of steel pipe, while this part includes two outside diameter series of steel pipe; wherein, DN10~DN2400 steel pipes in Series I are basically the same as but DN65 and DN125 are different from those in EN 1092-1: 2018, DN2600~DN4000 steel pipes in Series II are the same as those in EN 1092-1: 2018;
——the flange material is different from that in EN 1092-1: 2018. The flange materials with Chinese designations are adopted in this part, of which, the pressure-temperature ratings are determined by reference to EN 1092-1: 2018;
——the order contract data of flanges are added;

1 Scope
