GB/T 9755-2024 Synthetic resin emulsion based wall coatings
1 Scope
This document specifies the product classification and grading, requirements, test methods, inspection rules as well as marking, packaging and storage of the synthetic resin emulsion based wall coatings.
This document is applicable to the wall coatings, which are made from a mixture of pigments, extender pigment and various additives with the synthetic resin emulsion as base material by emulsion polymerization mode and formed into a thin coating layer with smooth surface after application.

4 Product classification and grading
4.1 Product classification
Wall coatings are classified by use occasion into:
—Coatings for interior wall;
—Coatings for exterior wall.
Coatings for interior wall are classified by coating type into:
—Primer for interior wall;
—Topcoat for interior wall.
Coatings for exterior wall are classified by coating type into:
—Primer for exterior wall;
—Topcoat for exterior wall.
Primer for interior wall is classified by mechanism of action on the substrate into:
—Type I, reinforced type;
—Type II, ordinary type.
Primer for exterior wall is classified by requirements for alkali burnout and salting-out resistance and water permeability into:
—Type I, used for occasions with high requirements for alkali burnout and salting-out resistance and water permeability;
—Type II, used for occasions with general requirements for alkali burnout and salting-out resistance and water permeability.
4.2 Product grading
Topcoat for interior wall and topcoat for exterior wall are classified into acceptable product, first-grade product and superior product.
5 Requirements
5.1 The primer shall be as specified in Table 1.
