Test method of tensile for plastics welded test specimen
1 Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, symbols and descriptions, test principles, test devices, test sample preparation, state adjustment, test methods, test results and test reports by the test method of tensile for plastics welded specimen.
This standard is applicable to tensile testing for thermoplastic samples in hot-gas welding, extrusion welding, hot fusion welding, electrofusion welding and other welding procedures.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in GB/T 2035 and GB/T 3375 and the following apply.
3.1
welding beads
plastic melt overflowing from the edge of weld in welding
3.2
test sample
samples for welding procedure qualification test, made according to the requirements of technical standards; a local sample taken from the test piece, including base metal and welded joint
Note: Test samples can be called test shims (such as dumbbell-shaped test shim for tensile test) depending on different shapes of test sample, and test pipes (such as welding pipes for full cross-section tensile).
